The aim was to strengthen the world's favorite gaming console in the UK market by generating pre-launch buzz and demand surrounding their interactive FIFA football game (coinciding with the 2006 World Cup). The brief entitled “Stop Them Getting to No 1” required a concept based on the gaming principle of stopping an X-Box team winning the FIFA interactive World Cup. Ichikoo wrote, cast, filmed, directed & produced 3 x one minute viral films based on football fans' unimpressive attempts to express their love of the game through music. Deliberately unbearable and bizarre the virals reveal the length football fans will go to support their team and calls on users to stop them getting to No 1. Campaign results revealed the viral received over 5 million hits via internet distribution.See case study
